After visiting a local ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, Carter Sleeth, an FAU transfer student formerly from Youngstown, Ohio, declared, “This ranch lowkey slaps.” When questioned what he meant by this, Sleeth simply said, “I ain’t seen a ranch like this since I left my hometown. They got the cows, chickens, and pigs on this farm, but best of all, they got horses! The last time I rode a horse, I had such a grand ole time. I was fortunate enough to talk the ranch owner into letting me take one of those bad boys for a spin. Whew, did they go fast. That beauty was flying faster than my dragster.” At press time, sources found Carter in the Wimberly Library browsing history books pertaining to Florida ranches and trying to decide which ranch he thought was best.
